From 1976-1984 Mark attended the International Center for Natural Health and Medicine (ICNHM). He completed a 4 year program comprising of 4,000 hours of clinical training. The program included Naturopathy as well as holistic health, herbal medicine, nutritional medicine, exercise therapy, manual therapy and martial arts. During this time Mark continued his private practice in massage and natural medicine and taught classes at ICNHM.
Since then Mark's interest in bodywork includes extensive training and teaching in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Therapy (PNF), Joint Range of Motion (JROM), MET, SCS, Connective Tissue Manipulation, Neural Tension Release, Functional Manipulative Procedure, Structural-Functional Balancing and Integration, Cranial Sacral Therapy, biofield therapies, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, Tui Na and Swedish Massage. He has over 40,000 hours of clinical and classroom experience.
Mark's years of study in Chinese medicine and Tai Chi led to his co-founding the Colorado School of Tradition Chinese Medicine (CSTCM) in 1989. Both schools reside in the same building providing a center complete with training and therapy service facilities for a wide array of Massage Therapy and Naturopathy disciplines.
Mark is a registered Massage Therapist, a licensed Acupuncturist, a registered Naturopath and a diplomat for Chinese Herbology.
